Washed Out Geico 400 Begins Monday At Noon, Matt Kenseth Leads Odds To Win

Filed under: NASCAR Betting Odds |

After the weather washed away the chances to kickoff the Chase For The Cup on Sunday afternoon, the drivers will get back to the course at Chicagoland Speedway on Monday afternoon looking to make their push for the Sprint Cup title.

Matt Kenseth is on the pole to begin the race that starts at 12pm ET.

And oddsmakers feel that that pole position for Kenseth is good enough to supplant him atop all of the others in the field as the overall favorite to win the Geico 400.

But the odds at the top are close.

The Latest NASCAR Betting lines at Bodog Sportsbook have set Kenseth with odds at 6/1 to win the Geico 400.

Then comes a host of top-name players, such as Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson.

Johnson of course has won five-straight Sprint Cup titles, and begins his quest for a sixth. But he is behind the others and comes in as the fifth favorite to win.

Edwards is the closest to Kenseth, going off at 13/2 on online sportsbooks. Then comes Gordon at 7/1, followed by Busch at 8/1 and then Johnson at 9/1.

This is the first time in seven years that there has been a delay to the start of the Chase For The Cup.

There will be plenty of Chase Cup drivers near the front of the this race to begin, as six of the top-10 starting points on Monday are filled by Chase Cup drivers.

That is likely a driving force behind the closeness of these odds near the top, especially for Chase Cup drivers.
