The fourth quarter of Game 2 in the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City Thunder series was huge. The Lakers squandered a seven point lead in the final minutes and more importantly found themselves down 0-2 in the series.
But on Friday, the series moved to Los Angeles where the Lakers have fared much better during the season. A loss in Game 3 would have probably all but ended the Lakers run for the NBA championship, putting them one loss away from their season ending.
However, Los Angeles proved to be a different team this time around in the final period and held on to to get a 99-96 win thanks to an almost perfect night from the free throw line where they hit 41 of 42 attempts.
With the Thunder holding a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, the Lakers will attempt to build on that crucial Friday night win with a quick turnaround as Game 4 is set for Saturday night.
Despite their impressive win on Friday, the latest 2012 NBA Playoff Betting Lines at Bovada Sportsbook have installed the Thunder as 1 1/2-point betting favorites in Saturday’s matchup. The OVER/UNDER in points is set at 189.
Kobe Bryant was key in Game 3 down the stretch as he scored 14 of his 36 points in the final quarter. Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol also stepped up when needed and this must continue if the Lakers are to win the series.
In addition to the overall game line, Bovada has also fielded some great Player Prop Bets to wager on for Game 4 as well.
Saturday night’s matchup can be seen live on ESPN with coverage beginning at 10:30 pm ET.
