The PGA Championship gets underway this Thursday, as players get their last chance in 2011 at winning a Major Championship.
And entering this week, a number of golfer’s have separated themselves as favorites to win at Atlanta Athletic Club.
At the top of the list on the latest betting lines for the PGA Championship this week is Rory McIlory. McIlroy won the U.S Open back in June at Congressional Country Club, in what was a record-breaking performance.
Combined with his continued play and improvement, McIlroy has risen in the world golf rankings, and a favorite in virtually every tournament he enters.
The PGA Championship is no exception.
McIlory gets the tag as the Tournament Favorite this week in Atlanta, set at 10/1 on PGA Championship Odds at Bodog Sportsbook.
But behind McIlroy this week at Atlanta Athletic Club are a host of top players from around the world.
This includes No.1 Luke Donald and No.2 Lee Westwood. Both Donald and Westwood have been set with odd at 14/1 this week, as each looks to capture that elusive first Major Championship. And while both have come close numerous times in their career, they have yet to seal the deal.
The come Adam Scott, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, all installed with the same 20/1 odds this week. Scott has rocketed up the betting lines of late, given his victory at Firestone this past week. And woods and Mickelson are always perceived as favorites, despite the fact that they do not enter playing their best golf of the season.
Coverage of the 2011 PGA begins Thursday at 1pm ET, with TNT picking up the television coverage.
