The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points race is beginning to take shape, as a better picture is formed going forward in the final races of the season.
Currently, it’s Kyle Busch who is at the front of the pack on the latest 2011 Sprint cup Standings.
He is 10 points ahead of five-time defending champion Jimmie Johnson,,and 39 points ahead of both Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards.
Both Harvick and Edwards have held the lead in the points standings at some point throughout the course of the year, but it’s Busch and Johnson who have ascended to the top.
As such, both drivers lead the latest Sprint Cup Betting Lines for the month of August on NASCAR Futures Odds at Intertops Sportsbook.
Both drivers are going off at 3/1 on the betting line.
Edwards falls in just behind at 9/2. He led the Sprint Cup odds for the majority of the season but the recent races have allowed for Busch and Johnson to leap him. hat was capped off by Busch’s victory in Michigan over the weekend.
Rounding out the top-five on the latest Sprint Cup Series Betting Lines is Jeff Gordon an Kevin Harvick.
Gordon comes in with odds set at 8/1, while Harvick is just behind at 9/1.
There are just three races before the playoffs begin, and the real chase for the Sprint Cup comes to life.
Next up on the schedule for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be on Saturday, Aug. 27 when the circuit moves to Bristol Motor Speedway.
