The second half of the 2014 NFL season is underway, and teams are at a critical juncture if they hope to advance their playoff standing. Week 11 is upcoming that begins on Thursday in the AFC East between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins.
Looking at the Week 11 schedule, there are some great matchups to look forward to throughout the day on into the primetime matchup that will certainly garner plenty of attention.
The betting odds for all Week 11 games are already available at Bovada Sportsbook. The opening act has the Dolphins as six-point home favorites over their division rival. Miami and Buffalo are deadlocked in the division at 5-4, two games behind the New England Patriots. This is a very important game for both teams, with the winner not only getting a game up, but grabbing a critical division victory. The loser will face a difficult path to the postseason.
Fast forward to Sunday, and there are eight matchups that get going at 1pm ET, three in the later wave beginning at 4pm ET, and then the prime time matchup at 8:30 pm ET.
One of the matchups right away that looks intriguing puts Seattle in Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. The Seahawks certainly haven’t been as dominant as they were during their Super Bowl run, but they are still a force to be reckoned with. Oddsmakers at Bovada see this one as being too close to call, installing the betting line as a ‘pick’ (no spread).
The largest point spread of the early afternoon games takes place between the Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Rams. The Broncos have been set as double digit favorites, slated at 10 points.
That is not the largest spread of the day though, with San Diego a 10.5-point favorite over the winless Oakland Raiders. The Chargers have been on a slide, but the Raiders have not been able to get one on the left side of the column yet.
The game to watch in the 4 o’clock hour has to come at Lambeau Field between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams are coming off of dominating performances in Week 10. This will be a difficult one for the Eagles to get on the road, but with the point spread set at six points, there is plenty of room to make a wager for Philadelphia to cover.
Kicking off at night will be the Colts and the Patriots. Andrew Luck and company are field goal favorites at home over a New England team that has been firing on all cylinders. LatestBettingOdds.com has this betting line plus all the rest of the matchups listed below.
