Food City 500The NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule moves from Las Vegas Motor Speedway back across the country to Tennessee at Bristol Motor Speedway for the running of the Food City 500.

Last week, it was Matt Kenseth who took the checkered flag for the win, despite starting 18th for the day. Kenseth led 42 laps out of the 267 total, spending the majority of the afternoon trailing.

It was certainly a nice birthday present to give to himself, as Kenseth turned 41 years old on the day he won the race in Vegas.

The victory was the 25th of his career, putting Job Gibbs racing in the winner’s circle. Thanks to only a fuel stop for his last pit of the afternoon during a caution, Kenseth was able to hold off Kasey Kahne in the end.

Entering the Food City 500 at Bristol this week, Kenseth is a top-five favorite, but he is not at the top of the list. Food City 500 betting odds available at Bovada Sportsbook have installed Kyle Busch as race favorite on Sunday. Busch is installed at 11/2 to win.

Busch is a three-time winner at this event, winning in 2007, 2009, and 2011. Judging by that recent trend of victories every other year, it only seems fitting to set him as the favorite this week.

It’s not by much though, as defending Food City 500 champion Brad Keselowski is just behind at 13/2, with Daytona 500 winner Bet On NASCAR At BovadaJimmie Johnson just beyond that at 15/2. Keselowski tabbed a third place finish last week, while Johnson finished in sixth. Johnson won the Food City 500 back in 2010.

The top-three favorites make up the winners of the last four Food City 500s.

Denny Hamlin and Kenseth round out the top-five favorites to win the Food City 500 this week on NASCAR betting lines. These drivers have been slated at 17/2 to take the checkered flag.

This is the first of two Sprint Cup series races held at Bristol on the annual schedule. The 2013 Food City 500 will get going at 1pm ET on Sunday, with coverage picked up live by FOX.

Full field betting odds are available below from Bovada, with the top favorite all the way down to the biggest underdog on the afternoon.
