Coca Cola 600NASCAR comes off of its All Star Weekend in Charlotte, and will remain there this week for the running of the Coca Cola 600. It was Jimmie Johnson who cruised to a win here at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which was the fourth time he has won the event. That set a new all-time record, yet another to the resume’ Johnson has set in his career.

Not only was it his fourth win at the All Star race, it was all back-to-back victories there, which made him just the second driver in history to do so, with Davey Allison being the other.

Johnson has had a ton of success at Charlotte Motor Speedway throughout his career, winning six races there in the Sprint Cup circuit, in addition to his four All Star wins. In total, Johnson has been in the lead for more than 1,600 laps on this track.

Bettors could probably have a guess at who might be the favorite coming into the Coca Cola 600 from Charlotte then.

Coca Cola 600 betting odds found at Bovada Sportsbook has indeed set Johnson as the favorite to win. Johnson is set at 6/1 on the betting line. While he has enjoyed plenty of success here, he has not won the actual Coca Cola 600 since 2005, which was on the tail end of three-straight victories in the event.

Last year, it was Kasey Kahne who took the checkered flag. Kahne has had plenty of success in this race as well. A three-time winner, Kahne won in 2006, and 2008 in addition to his run to victory in 2012. Kahne is a top-five favorite this week, but not right behind Johnson on list. At 15/2, there are two other drivers in between.

They would be Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth. Busch won here back in 2010, while for Kenseth, you would have to go all the way back to 2000 for when he drove into victory lane. These two are slightly separated on the betting line, with Busch set at 13/2, and Kenseth going off at 7/1.

Denny Hamlin, who returned to NASCAR just a few weeks ago from injury, is right back in the mi according to oddsmakers, set at 9/1 to round out this week’s top-five favorites.
