Euro 2012 Semifinals: Spain vs Portugal Betting Odds

Filed under: Soccer Betting Odds |

The defending champions take the field today in a Euro 2012 semifinal match up, as Spain clashes with Portugal. And after getting off to sluggish starts, both teams come into this one off of three-straight victories, playing well, and looking to move into the final of the tournament.

And if Spain is going to come out on top, they will have to slow down arguably the hottest player in the tournament right now in Cristiano Ronaldo, who has three goals in the last two games.

But Spain handled France quite effectively in their quarterfinal match, and bring a lot of confidence into the semifinal. And of course, they are the champions until another teams is able to say otherwise.

When it comes to the betting line for this semifinal match up as well, Spain reigns supreme over Portugal.

Euro 2012 Semi Final Betting Odds between Spain and Portugal available at Bovada Sportsbook have set the defending Euro champions as -120 favorites on the amount wagered on the moneyline to win the match and advance to the final and a step closer to a second-straight championship. On the other side of the moneyline, Portugal has been set at +350 on the amount wagered, which is just under 4/1 on the payout. A draw has been set at +250.

But that is not all when it comes to betting on this match up.

Betting against the spread for this one has the game installed as a pick em’ at Bovada. Here, the betting odds have set Spain at -275 on the payout, which Portugal comes in at +215. These payouts are different than the moneyline because there is no ‘Draw’ option offered after the 90 minutes plus stoppage time.

Oddsmakers do not see this match being a high scoring affair either, with the over/under total for goals set at two.

You will be able to watch Spain and Portugal go up against each other on Wednesday afternoon at 2:45 pm ET, with coverage on ESPN.

The winner of this match will play the winner of Germany and Italy in the Final. Germany and Italy will play their semifinal match on Thursday.
