BCS Championship Betting Odds For College Football Week 9

Following the release of the of the BCS standings after the Week 8 of the schedule, oddsmakers have come out with their latest odds to win the BCS national championship going into Week 9.

One thing is guaranteed though, and that is that these odds will look different a week from now, as six of the teams on the odds will match up with each other this week.

But before we get into those games, let’s see how the latest list of favorites to win the BCS national championship stack up.

It shouldn’t come as surprise that the Alabama Crimson tide continue to lead the way here, going off at nearly even money at 6/5 on betting lines at Bovada Sportsbook. Alabama has been in this spot for the majority of the college football season, as the No.1 team in the BCS Standings.

But from there, the odds and the BCS championship odds take a different turn.

The Oregon Ducks follow the Crimson Tide on the list of title favorites, going off at 4/1. In the BCS standings, Oregon happens to be No.4, despite being No.2 in the polls. The strength of schedule is currently hurting Oregon, but that will be beefed up soon with two potential games against USC.

The Florida Gators and Kansas State Wildcats are No.2 and No.3 respectively in the BCS standings, but sit in a tie for third on the odds here at 15/2. These two teams have the best resumes’ to date this college football season, and will both clash with ranked opponents in Week 9.

Rounding out the top-five favorites on the BCS championship odds is USC. The Trojans have slowly climbed their way back into the conversation, and still have some big games ahead to boost the cause with teams like Oregon and USC on the horizon. So the opportunities will certainly be there.

This weekend has some big matchups.

Alabama will face No.12 and unbeaten Mississippi. Florida takes on No.10 Georgia in Jacksonville. No.5 Notre Dame faces No.8 Oklahoma in Norman, and Kansas State takes on No.14 Texas Tech.
