American Idol Betting Odds Formed For Steven Tyler’s Replacement

When American Idol Season 12 gets going again later this year, it will be without judge Steven Tyler. Tyler announced that he would not return for another season on the show, leaving a spot open and producers then searching for a replacement.

So who will come on to join Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez as the third wheel for the 12th season of the hit show?

Oddsmakers are jumping in on the action.

There are three names at the top of the list who lead the way on American Idol Season 12 Betting Lines available at Bovada Sportsbook. They would be Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, and former contestant Adam Lambert.

It’s Carey who is at the top of the list of favorites, going off at -150 on the amount wagered. There is certainly a connection there, as Jackson was a producer on Carey’s albums several years ago. And we think the fans would very much enjoy Carey back in the spotlight after having twins with husband Nick Cannon. Cannon is having his own success hosting another competition in America’s Got Talent.

Cyrus and Lambert come in with equal odds at -120. Cyrus certainly has the notoriety to be a judge, but whether or not she has the experience to do so remains to be seen. We can definitely see a ton of criticism coming her way should she join the other two judges.

Lambert is obviously familiar with the show, having almost won it a couple of seasons ago. And since then he has gone on to have great success with his albums. And knowing how the show works would give him an advantage.

But there are several other names on the list, including a couple of Black Eyed Peas. Fergie and Will I Am have been set with odd to join American Idol, as have oddsmakers even thrown out the name of Charlie Sheen.

Below, you will find the complete betting odds for this subject to check out.
