2014 NBA Conference Finals Betting Preview; Odds Favor Heat vs. Spurs Final

Indiana Pacers vs Miami HeatAlright, at the beginning of the NBA season go back and think who you would have placed in the conference finals.

Chances are you would have gotten at least three of the four teams, if not all four.

The Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs, and the Oklahoma City Thunder are the last teams left alive. These are the four teams that have had the biggest impact on the NBA Champion over the last few seasons. Sure, it’s been Miami who has taken the last three titles, but the Heat have played the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals, and have beaten the Spurs and Thunder in the NBA Finals

Miami has been the favorite to win the 2014 NBA Championship since the start of the season. And with an 8-1 record in the postseason so far that of course hasn’t changed. After dispatching Brooklyn in five games in the second round, Miami waited to see who they would play in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Oddsmakers at Bovada Sportsbook didn’t wait to come out with NBA conference betting lines. A series price has been installed for both the East and West. The Heat are -420 ($4.20 wins $1) to win and advance to the NBA Finals. A wager on Indiana is set at more than 3 to 1, going off at +310.

In the West, San Antonio is a slight favorite as the No.1 seed with home court advantage. Both conference finals series match the top-two seeds. The Spurs are set at -150, while the Thunder come in just on the other side of the payout at +130.

These betting lines will be up until tip off of Game 1 in the respective matchups.

The Game 1 betting lines for both matchups have been released as well. Despite going on the road and not having home court, the Heat are three-point favorites over the Pacers. Indiana has struggled at home, and actually has played better on the road during the playoffs.

San Antonio has been set as 4.5-point favorites over Oklahoma City. The home court has more appeal in this series than does the East.

For each series, Bovada will form point spreads, moneylines, and game totals. Outside of that, player props and team props will be formed as well. Below, LatestBettingOdds.com has the current game line for the upcoming matchup + series prices.
