2012 Travelers Championship Betting Odds

Webb Simpson will not have much down time to celebrate his 2012 U.S Open victory on Sunday at The Olympic Club. In fact, he is already on the other side of the country in Connecticut at TPC River Highlands for the playing of the Travelers Championship.

Simpson never held the lead in the U.S Open until he was in the clubhouse. But his 1-over par score was good enough in the end, besting Graeme McDowell by a shot to claim his first ever Major Championship. It’s a streak that continues for first time Major winners, with it at 14 now.

And with Simpson’s win, he is definitely the name to pay attention to this week at the Travelers Championship.

Simpson is atop the list of Travelers Championship Betting odds along with Matt Kuchar and Hunter Mahan, all of whom are set at 14/1 to win this week. And if Simpson is to get the victory, that would be quite impressive. We can only imagine that he has not had much rest if any at all since his victory in San Francisco.

Simpson moved up to No.5 in the world this week, and comes in as the highest ranked player in the field, with the rest of the top-five taking the week off after the Major Championship.

But there are still a host of notable players in the field just behind the top favorites, including Masters Champion Bubba Watson. Watson was ousted from the top-five in the World Golf Rankings this week after Simpson’s win, dropping one spot to No.6 in the world. Watson did not play well at all at the U.S Open, missing the cut. However, he comes at 22/1 and inside the top-10 on the favorites to win the tournament this week.

Keegan Bradley, Louis Oosthuizen, and Padraig Harrington are also among the notable player in the field.

Below, we have all of the betting odds for the field as can be seen on Bovada, so if we didn’t mention your favorite player be sure to check out to see where they stand on the list.
