In one of the greatest finals in a Grand Slam in tennis history, No.1 Novak Djokovic defeated No.2 Rafael Nadal in a five-set match which lasted nearly six hours.

Djokovic is continuing his great run from 2011 and has brought it into 2012, winning his third-straight Australian Open title.

Next up, is the French Open.

But that event has been dominated by one man over the course of the last decade or so. And that is Djokovic’s opponent in the Australian Open Final.

Nadal has won six French Open title since 2005, with the lone exception coming in 2009.

The 2012 French Open begins on May 27, so there will be plenty of time to prepare over the next four months.

The Latest 2012 French Open Betting Odds have set Nadal as a 10/11 favorite to win his seventh French Open title, and 11th-career Grand Slam title at Roland Garros this year on French Open Betting Odds.

Djokovic isn’t far behind on the odds though, going off as better than a 2/1 at Bovada Sportsbook, installed at 13/8.

Then comes Juan Martin Del Portro, which may come as a surprise, as he is just ahead of Roger Federer on the French Open odds, going off at 10/1.

Federer, who lost to Nadal in the Australian Open semifinal in four sets, comes in at 12/1 to win the French Open.

Federer lost to Nadal in the French Open final last year.

Rounding out the top-five favorites to win the French Open is Andy Murray, set at 16/1.

Top-5 Odds to Win French Open
